"The Spirit of a Hawk"

58" x 24" Oil on Canvas

Western art is one of my favorites. Every so often I feel the need to paint one. Here, my subject is an Indian and a hawk. I don’t know much about the Indian culture of the past but I figured that the Indian would certainly have been an admirer of such a creature as the hawk, with its power and agility. Especially it’s hunting ability.
