This was a painting I did for the Arts for the Parks competition, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Mount Rushmore has always fascinated me. It is such a grand sculpture. It makes me want to set out across this nation and see the many historic places that are within the boundaries of the United States of America.

I enjoy the movie; “North by Northwest” which uses Mount Rushmore as a setting, also at night. The moonlight gives it a timeless quality, even mysterious.
